During a hike near us last weekend we came upon this mammoth squash (among others), which Pecos just went bananas for, without any goading from us. This perspective doesn't show the squashes true size, though. Here's a picture to illustrate.
My God that is a MASSIVE squash. Maybe even prize winning. And yes now you understand about the omnivore status. My Barney loved all melons and would even eat the rind (when he had teeth). Speaking of omnivores my BOYZ are having special dinner in honor of MLK; root vegetable stew with dog sausage. They can hardly wait for dinner. They had it last night also so they know it is coming again.
