Pictures that were on our camera

Hello, world. We've been so busy packing, cleaning, and putting things in piles these last couple weeks that we've neglected to download photos from our camera. And let me assure you, lots of monumental things have happened. We're still in our apartment for another two weeks, but I'm sitting on the floor in an empty room, as we've already moved out all our stuff (not to worry, we DO have furniture ... like beds and tables ... in other rooms). So here are some of the best snappies that were on our camera from the past few weeks.

First off, Kate's pregnant again. Here's a shot from week 12 I think, but she's now 15 weeks pregnant. The baby is due February 3rd. The OB thinks it's a boy; no one is sure yet.

Secondly, Elizabeth is a genius. Here she invented a device that allows hands-free reading in the dark (it's a backwards backpack with a reading light stuck in it).
Third, our mutual college friend Helen came for a visit during her four-month working vacay in Europe. Yes, you read that correctly. Four months. Buh.

Fourth, Elizabeth and Pecos are playing with each other more. Well, that's not true. Elizabeth is bigger than Pecos now and has no fear of being bitten (wrongly ... case in point (he's licking, btw)).

Fifth, Kate built Elizabeth a fort to protect her from too many licks.

Sixth, Elizabeth has been incredibly helpful in preparing for the move. She knows all the words to say to correctly answer our questions. (For example: Q: "Where are we moving?" A: "Noooerk" (New York) Q: "How are we getting there?" A: "Pwayne" (Plane) Q: "How is our stuff getting there?" A: "Bowd" (Boat) Q: "Why are we going?" A: "Dada work") Here she is packing Pec's food.
Seventh, she has a new love of corn ... and apparently has a good bite. (Sorry about the "link") I have no idea what I did.)

Elizabeth convinced grandma (pronounced "doo DONG") that it was a good idea to paint her toenails.
Elizabeth likes wearing rain boots ("wayne booth").
We're still enjoying the surrounding areas.

Our friends Josh and Melanie have arrived. They are our official last visitors.
The weather has been sunny here, making for a few sunglass breakfasts.
Here's Kate's solution for ensuring E doesn't get in her way while packing ... pillows, snacks, and a Sesame Street DVD.
Here's a shot from lunch yesterday. I made pasta, but couldn't get to any plates or utensils, so we ate out of the pot with our hands.
We managed to find time to go blackberry picking.
And then we had sandwiches and dip for dinner while surrounded by some packed-box ambiance.

And Elizabeth is now potty trained! She just kind of figured it out herself over the past few months. All of the bare bum pictures are because when she is given the choice between panties and nothing, she usually picks "nuf.

More pictures soon....as soon as I figure out how to undo linked text.
