A naked monkey baby playing with a pile of Elizabeth’s books that will surely grow in number and difficulty when Dyed Moroz (Russia) comes for a visit. But the best gift that Svaty Miklas (Czech) could give us this year….
A standing, walking, destructive baby that pops out of presents left by Babbo Natale (Italy), tears down shelves, and eats just about anything fist-sized or smaller that doesn’t run away. Things like homemade play-do, as seen here:
One thing Joulupukki (Finland) already dropped off this year was a few inches of snow.
Thankfully, that gave Elizabeth time to stay inside and learn animal noises with Mama.

Great post and thank you for the language lessons translating Papa Noel ten times. Beautiful snap of Elizabeth on Santa’s knee and the dress is lovely. The table and chairs look great, now she can have a friend over for a sit. And if she likes to climb on top of furniture, she may be getting that from my brother John, who squatted in his highchair tray to be fed dinner. Yeah!! Elizabeth is going to learn to ride a bike, then she can teach Mama. She looks dashing in that helmet, is it a ladybug? The play dough looks good, but next time color it, also give her a roller and some cookie cutters. You can roll it out and she can press shapes with the cookie cutters. Does Elizabeth have to wear camo PJs because Daddy works for the army? The animal sounds are great.
Her "Bear Growl" might be the cutest thing I have ever seen! Steph and I can't wait to see all 4 of you in just a few weeks!!
