Hop hop bunny, bunny

As always, our holiday weekend was packed with visits to the grandparents. Unfortunately, we didn't take many pictures this trip, so sorry to those not pictured.

We started the weekend at Jay and Linda's with some Easter egg dying,

Easter present opening,
Easter present trying on,
and a visit to Trader Joe's.
We then all got dressed up for an Easter Eve meal at Kathryn and Antonio's (which we have no pictures of).
We woke up on Easter at Barbara and Bill's with baskets from the Easter Bunny.

The day continued with an Easter egg hunt,

 trike riding,
 and some Easter posing.

Cookie of the month: Month 10

For April, the cookie of the month was a chocolate chip-walnut cookie. Henry got in on the action this month as an official taste taster; he thought the cookie was lip-smaking good. Unfortunately, he is going to have to resign as a taste tester as both he and I are again avoiding soy and dairy.

Phil and Erica's Wedding and some other stuff

A few weekends ago, we had the honor of attending Phil and Erica's wedding in Chesapeake City, MD, where Elizabeth was the only child in attendance (and probably the fourth or fifth most excited person there ... she's been really into fairy tales recently, which, as you know, all end with a couple getting married and living happily ever after).

Elizabeth took this photo...

To me, Elizabeth looks like an adult here, just smaller.

At Chesapeake City, we also played outside....

And hung out with Baba and Ethan ....

And tried on fancy dresses...

Henry looks like he can sing the blues here

I'm debating wearing this hat in public. It's from Afghanistan (thanks, Breanna!) Why not!

Elizabeth got a beautiful dress from Breanna for Nowruz (spring celebration)

Kate also hosted a day care for a day ... actually, these are Kate's friend's kids (Jeremiah (5), Miles (3), and Tessa (not shown ... who is 1)

Ward Home Movie Marathon, Part IV

Welcome back to the fourth and final (for now) installation of Home Movie Marathon, where your host is glad that his Internet connection survived uploading these massive files.

In this final series of movies, shot mostly in February, you'll watch future film-maker Elizabeth and future acrobat Henry display their skills (or lack thereof). Enjoy!

Ward Home Movie Marathon, Part III

Welcome back to the third installation of Home Movie Marathon, where your host is publicly and shamefully admitting that about a year ago, when he was suffering from baby-induced sleep debt, he created his own specialty drink he called a 'coffee bomb' that consisted of dropping a tea bag in a cup of coffee.

In this third series of movies, you can view said terrible sleeper as well as his older sister in the latter half of January 2012. Enjoy!

Ward Home Movie Marathon, Part II

Welcome back to the second installation of Home Movie Marathon, where your host is relieved that this movie finally uploaded.

This series includes home movies from Mexico. Disfrutar!

Ward Home Movie Marathon, Part I

Hello and welcome to the first installation of Home Movie Marathon, where your host is happy to finally get these video shorts out of the external hard drive and into your heads.

The story behind the Ward Movie Marathon is a long and twisted one, full of head scratching and computer-aimed frustration. It started in November, when we got a new pocket camera. The only movies it shot that we were able to view on our computers were the super slow motion ones. Those were fun, but didn't showcase properly the raw cuteness of our kids. And so the hunt began to figure out why other movies wouldn't play on our clunky old computers. And, although the saga and the computer-aimed frustration continue, the head scratching has ceased, which is why, my friends, we're able to show you the videos that have been stored on our external hard drive for the past several months.

This first series are the best home movies from November and December, enjoy.

Hello, all! Long time, no blog.

We're back at home after a busy and fun-filled four days in Maryland and have so much to share, but unfortunately no Mega Millions money.

Here's a summary of what the Wards were doing in late March.

Making and playing with play-dough

Wearing awesome hairstyles in public

Getting a first haircut

Playing ball in the beautiful (but sadly temporary) weather

Visiting the kids' museum with Baba and Pop-Pop ...

... Where Henry made a friend ...

... Watched a video on fighting fires ...

... And where Elizabeth tried on a beautiful dress ...

... Only to be up-staged by this lady ...

... Who was rocking out, despite the lack of any visible grandchildren ... (also, note the shoes).
This month, Henry has learned a few words and has figured out how to walk (videos coming soon). He's also been very into his toys, particularly his bouncy balls.

He's also been a very good eater.

Elizabeth prepared for April Showers this month
And checked out the NYC Hall of Science, where she pretended to be an astronaut (who apparently can survive in space without a helmet) ...
... play a very large version of Operation ...

... Almost figure out how to make herself 'float' ...
... Play with silly mirrors ...
... And help Mama and Henry surf ...
Elizabeth was also allowed to conduct secretary practice by putting on her press-on nails
We also learned that Elizabeth's love of vinegar (yes, that's a bottle of vinegar) knows no bounds.

Until next time, folks.
