For all the grandpas, the kids the month made the ‘family favorite’ cookie of Jay “Papa Bear” Ward: the Mexican Hot Chocolate cookie.
With the cold weather now upon us, we thought it was time to turn up the heat with a cookie that brings the power of cinnamon (BOOM!), chili powder (BAM!), and also cayenne pepper (KAPOW!).
The kids had a great time making these cookies, getting egg, chocolate, butter, and sugar all over the table and floor. Lucky for the gramps, we threw out the parts that missed the bowl. Double lucky for them, this meant that the proportions were off a bit, making the cookies just a little spicier.
We like these galletas and think they’ll give you the sweet chocolately taste that we all love with a little kick at the end that will keep you warm during this cold month. Like we always say ‘When it’s chilly outside, put some chili inside’ (we’ve actually never said this).
