Proud parents of a pre-K graduate

We are now proud parents of a pre-K graduate. Unfortunately, because E was sick for most of this week (see 'e. coli soup' reference in the blog below), she missed her actual graduation, known as the 'stepping up ceremony,' and instead showed up a day late to collect her diploma. More important than that, however, was that she missed performing her graduation song for us with her class, meaning that she's been singing it all week. Luckily, it's a cute song and we don't mind hearing it.

Here are some photos of our graduate along with some other photos of what we've been up to recently.

Teaching mini golf to toddlers is harder than you think

At Adventurer's Amusement Park in Coney Island, our gentle giant is able to ride all the rides without an adult, even the scary ones (she doesn't even entertain the thought of riding these)

Sad face came out for a bit during a 'farewell' BBQ at the Williams's in Queens. Although it was sad to say goodbye, it was great to see sad face. We always have a good laugh when he comes out.
Elizabeth: "Ethan, I had a really good time at your going-away day and will miss you when you go."
Ethan: "Elizabeth, I tooted."
Elizabeth must have taken this shot. Our backyard seems more productive than it is. Plus, the only thing producing this year -- our blueberry bushes -- are now gone (their owner picked them up). (Cue sad face!)
Just thought we'd brighten your day!

Sad face comes on so fast and then the flood of tears even faster.
Does the sign say that Elizabeth must be 36 inches tall and she actually measures 46 inches? So for the time it took her to grow 10inches she actually qualified to ride alone? Growing up! The first day of school is so cute.
