Halloween in Bay Ridge

I don't think I realized until Halloween this year how many children live in Bay Ridge ... or at least storm the gates on Halloween to rake in oodles of candy. Maybe people finally read the article from earlier this year claiming that Bay Ridge is the best place in Brooklyn to raise children. Or maybe the candy here is just so much better than in other parts of the borough. I did see a fair amount of snickers bars and very few tootsie rolls.

The kids (H: A fireman; E: A firefly fairy) had a great time weaving and dodging through swarms of ghouls and action heroes and collecting sizable snickers bars. And Kate and I continue to enjoy sneaking a piece of chocolate out of their still-full bags every now and then.
