The kids' grandparents were in for a treat this month. A treat so special, they're going to tell their grandkids about it ... and not just because
the grandkids baked them, but because they're good, people and want to
ensure that humanity doesn't forget that there was a perfect taste once. A
taste that hit the three main areas of your tongue AT THE SAME TIME. It was
sugary, salty, and fatty ... like chocolate-covered pretzels or kettle corn,
but better. A perfect trifecta. Yes, people, this month our little ones brought their grandparents the bold and yet delicate ... the crisp and yet moist ... the
great-on-their own but still totally dippable Browned Butter Chocolate Chip
Cookie with Sea Salt.
A bit over-the-top? Probably.
But I love these cookies and my passion will not be restrained! Seriously, I
think science is behind me on this. Combining salt, sugar, and fat has got to
put our brains into some sort of trance. Like putting the movie Frozen on in front
of five-year-old girls. It's got singing princesses, a talking snowman, and just
enough kid drama and kid humor to turn any little girl into a zombie for 90
minutes.
Hopefully these cookies won't turn anyone into a cookie-munching zombie, though.
