The August edition of "At home in NYC"

It's September already? Yes, indeed. And tomorrow is the first day of school for Miss Elizabeth. So before any of those pictures make their way into this blog, as I'm sure they will, I wanted to wrap up the summer by showing you pictures from August "At home in NYC."

This little girl is mesmerized by an engaging performance of Robin Hood performed by a local troupe of actors

Henry ran 'on stage' at one point, ostensibly to become one of Robin's Merry Men, but really to boogie on down with his Shakespeare in the Park homies. (Yes, Robin Hood is not Shakespeare in the Park. Tell that to the organizers.)

After telling Elizabeth that I used to eat sunflower seeds from my Opa's sunflowers, she wanted to try. Luckily, we had a large sunflower in our backyard that was ripe.

Elizabeth likes watching the screen instead of the game. She also enjoys hotdogs, long walks on the beach, and puppy breath.

Children are allowed to run the bases after the game. Our kids are following a full-grown man, who not only believes he is a child, but is also videotaping his run. He was apparently in a fantasy league.

We visited friends who recently bought a house in Easton, PA, and this shot (and another one just like it) is the only evidence we have. It looks a bit sad, but it was a very nice (and large) house in a wonderful neighborhood.
